Today was planned to provide some much needed respite to some tired feet. We jigsawed the luggage into the car, and off we went. Our first stop was the currently-under-construction temple in northeastern Rome. I was hoping it would be further along, but since the 2 spires are still under construction we didn't bother to turn around after I missed the turn off.

We headed north, planning to drive through the Tuscan hills to Siena, then on to spend ...

A travel blog entry by megandlaurie on Apr 07, 2015

There was so much packing to do, as you can imagine, we have collected a few things along the way, Laurie made me dispense with a few things since I have had a little retail therapy! All is good though and we managed to squeeze everything in. Hilltop villages

A travel blog entry by michie-and-paul on Jun 03, 2013

Our adventure today saw us driving through the Crete Senesi back to where we left off the day before. Once again driving the countryside, this time with Paul at the wheel, passing many of the picturesque villages our first stop today is Montelpuciano.

We wander the car-free (well apart from bus and ambulance) main street that stretches for 1.5km from the Porta al Prato tot the Piazza Grande at the top of the hill. We pass many enoteca offering wine tastings ...
