    Another cold clear night passed. We caught the bus into the city. We plan to visit the cathedral and it's museums. We arrived a little early and had to wait to pay for the inclusive ticket to all the areas is the cathedral. Just after 10.30 we entered through the main entrance the interior is unlike any other religios building that we have been in, the floor is made up of 56 large inlaid panels depicting historical and religious subjects. ...

    When we woke up it was very cold, the thermometer was reading 3 degrees, we put the heating on and stayed in bed until things began to warm up. I looked like my old grandmother used to, with a pashmina wrapped around my head and shoulders to keep warm.     As I said on FB, I joked with Lare that I would give him $100 if he would pose in the same archway as Edward, unbuttoning his shirt as Edward did. I had to pay up--isn't he fabulous? Total. Keeper. (Even though he doesn't sparkle,)

    ... fantastic and apparently part of an exhibition by a famous Japanese sculpture that is on at the moment.

    This little village is bright and open and incredibly interesting and the views are just beautiful. It is green and lush as far as the eye can see and there are a number of large lakes in the distance. The hills provide the final backdrop to the scene which is so peaceful and calm.
