... and "consume" in the western world ... but it perhaps more importantly it left me with a sense of hope that humanity can find a way for itself that will work ... the people I met last time seemed so much happier without all the trappings of consumer societies in the West ... but at the same time they deserve better than we give them ... my big fear is we turn them into more of us consumers, parasitic creatures with no respect ...

Due to a number of reasons, my travel plans have changed.

Now, I will be leaving on November 10th, to arrive in Delhi.
I'll spend 4 weeks in India then fly from Chennai to Singapore on December 8th.

I will travel overland through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore and China, then fly out of Hong Kong to Perth on March 11th.

I will send 7 weeks high-tailing it through Australia before leaving from Brisbane to go to New Zealand on ...

Walking along the edge has proven to be one of the most outrageous things I have done to this day. You litearlly walk along this cliff edge and look down only to see a complete vertical drop to the ocean. I had no idea how long it takes to sort out and book a RTW ticket. I finally paid for it and received my e-ticket in July. Here is the plan as it stands so far:

We watched a 20 minute film on Clonmacnoise and how it was founded in the 5th century by the River shannon in a place that was a major trading route. I will come back and fill in more details of this place later as i left the brocure in the room.
