... the park. Strange to think that when we were tacking we were heading straight for Venice. On the Adriatic Sea side of the park there are cliffs jutting straight up from the sea. On Mana Island an old fort or castle sits atop the cliff side. Don't know the history but I've heard this whole Area was ruled by Venice at one time. Aside from a few dolphins and some small fish there has been little sigh os sea life. Certainly not like the west coast of BC! By ...

After a goodnight's sleep Kerst feels much better and we have a hot breakfast before boarding the bus at 8.30. We head to Krka National Park which is stunning. Krka is a river and lake area with abundant bird life, scenic waterfalls and lush forests. We walk for an hour and take in the beautiful, scenery, the waterfalls are amazing! Once we have finished the tour we are free to look around by ourselves. It is really beautiful and we spend the ...

There's not too much to say about it other than one can certainly understand the allure of the location. The views were amazing and unobstructed for miles in every direction. The fortress overlooked the town of Knin at the bottom, and its nearby river, which flows east and eventually becomes part of the Krka ...

Headed north from Zadar toward the town of Nin and the island of Vir. Given the continuing fine weather we were in search of some naturist beaches in the area. We never did find them… it seems development had overtaken them… but we did have a couple of nice bike rides along some of the charming waterfronts. We ended up at a small and peaceful campground right on the edge of the beach on the island of Vir. Can't say the ...

Sunday today, couldn't rent a scooter, shop is closed. Went for a walk down to the sea and dipped. The sea is warmer than the pool, but has that distinct salt flavor to it. Came back and made up some seafood pasta and started in on the Lemon Drops...again...mmm. Watched the European rally series, race 5 from Italy. Watched the mens final from Roland Garos. Sure ...
