... would definitely love to come back and spend some time here. Perhaps one day we could stay here for a month or so in a self contained apartment, just out of peak season and experience living here and exploring the islands nearby… another one for the bucket list!! The stop in Mykonos was uneventful and pretty relaxing. OK meal in a local joint and the streets are famous for being a maze which has a sort of charm. We didn't have lovely weather but just a bit overcast and windy.
All in all, an OK place but we much preferred Santorini.
The next chapter of our journey I can sum up in three words: sun, alcohol and sleep. The Greek Islands were amazing, we spent two weeks relaxing in the sun by day and partying hard at night. We were definitely living the dream. Our relationship with Greece began in Athens, which was an interesting start. administrative hub. It has a number of
... clear water pretty much all over the island and the sandy beaches are incredible and it’s only a quick, cheap flight from England. I’m excited about coming back here and seeing all the friends we made again. It was a glorious, fun, relaxing week and exactly what I needed after 90 days of work without a day off. My next ship, the Veendam, will be 192 days (6 months) in a row til I get a night off so I’m going to make the most of my three free weeks now.
