... it was a 40 minute ride into the city. We were headed for the Koala Sanctuary called Lone Pine. We had to go through the whole city to get there so that took approximately 1 and 1/4 hours. The sanctuary was very nice. All of the animals are in open areas that you enter except for those that bite which are behind glass. They have many koalas there that are separated by age and sex. Lake mead reminds us of queenstown in tassie , all mountains , no vegetation, but just spectacluar.so far all the americans are so friendly and want to help.Baz had 2 hours sleep today but we are good tonight .amazing what a few wild turkeys can do.
