... Given the early departure time, there wasn't a Magical Mystery Van to take us to the bus stop and we made the short walk instead. ... else is absolutely accurate. The river is apparently rife with Bull Sharks, which I'm assured are incredibly dangerous growing to the size of 10 foot and generally seem to have a lot of rage. According to trusty Wikipedia, "there have been four recorded shark attack deaths in the river, and numerous other fatal attacks in surrounding rivers and estuaries", so that's nice.
