I got up at 8am, showered, dressed and then went to breakfast. I got my breakfast tray and ate it while using the WiFi. After breakfast i went back to the room, got ready for the day, then
left the hotel/hostel. I walked to the town square, went to the tour meeting point, waited and then had to walk down the street anyway to meet the bus. The bus took us to the port where we picked up more people and started the tour. The tour was done in English, ...

It was only a 45 minute trip and as soon as the ferry arrived in Naxos i got off, grabbing my bags and heading for the dock. I had found out that the hotel/hostel sends a van to ...

... down a grassy hillside to the beach that we walk to town along. A walk in the other direction takes us to more beaches. Thyme and sage grow in abundance alongside the trails we walk. Our Paros Paradise apartment comes with more than just a great view. It has a fridge, a two-hob counter top stove, kitchen sink, some pots & pans, dishes, and cutlery ( just enough to make a mess - but not too big of a mess). We have side by side twin beds, a desk, wardrobe cupboard, ...

... ferry cancellations on my risk log, but the only mitigation was additional ouzo. Seems to have worked so far J.

Deb: There is a distinct shortage of “backpackers” on these ferries; which unfortunately means that as soon as we disembark and the locals flogging rooms see us, we are somewhat hounded! They are practically telling us they have a wife, granny, mother in law and 10 kids to support, to try and get us to stay in their rooms! ...
