... wondering what had arrived. Once they had moved on we got out to take a walk, we walked up the road passing some very strange rock formations, we could clearly see stalactites hanging down, mostly broken, behind them were large cave like recesses, they looked like big teeth. We tried taking a track close to the river but where the crossing to the other side was, was flooded. We turned back and continued up the road, taking a right turn ...

... a small herd of goats ahead of us and Logan was wanting to round them up, as he was on the lead he kept running around us following his herding instinct. Back at Dream Catcher we could see the Austrians paddling across to the Islet. We took of our shoes and socks and zipped off our trouser legs, then walked across the beach to paddle across ourselves. We had to be careful as in places the water was quite deep, luckily Logan was out in front so we used him as ...

... asking us something that we couldn't understand, we think he wanted a lift, but we told him we didn't understand. He waved down a van that was passing and got a lift in it. The coast road sometimes climbed quite high and snaked inland and then back to the coast passing around some spectacular gorges. Our first stop is at Falasarna, there is little more than a long sandy beach now but the 4th century Cretan city state was major ...
