    Started today off by visiting the summer palace. The summer palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. In December 1998 it was placed on the world heritage list.     ... child falling onto my bed or stepping on my mattress to climb somewhere else, which often resulted in the actually stepping on my foot.

    As the children (and Karlie) got more and more awake and rowdy I swapped beds with Emma (top bed) for a bit, just so that I could have a bit of a rest. Emma and Karlie also go themselves some lunch from the train, but I did not really feel like it, so I passed.

    ... amp; tour guide Jassy..a partime interpreter and guide.. loaded with all the information required.
    First stop was at a Jade Factory... most informative.. all the colours , all the items crafted.. watching them with a small tool and water.. etching, grinding and creating their pieces.. prices as astounding as the creations!

    Another 20 minutes( and only 50 kms form the city), the mountains are what we expected.. mammoth, rugged ...
