Felt ok when I got up which is a good job as we are moving on not to far though only to a little place down the coast we have to get the bus there which only takes about 2 hours so not to much of a trek for me as still feeling light headed and dizzy which is nothing new for me really. Back to Czech for a couple of days to regroup and copious amounts of laundry! Road trip to Croatia was pretty long - took us around 10.5 hours..sure it seemed a lot longer for Jarrad who drove the entire way.

Well worth it though. We have decided to leave the main island and Island hop to the bottom of Croatia ...

So we drive down to Croatia. We thought it would be a great idea to wear our bikins as we drive so we get tanned... brilliant plan... that was until we got to the border and thought, whoops. Luckliy there was a car in front and we quickly put clothes on. In my haste I put my dress on back to front and inside out.... The guy then asked if we had anything to declare and was in hysterics when we laughed and said only 3 beers ...

2ème conseil : préférer les agences de location car les chambres sont classées en étoiles. Vous pouvez également vous fier aux panneaux accrochés aux façades des maisons. Si vous êtes à pieds, les catalogues proposés ...

... nous pensons pouvoir récupérer la ligne de bus Rijeka-Cres. Notre surprise est aussi grande que notre déception quand nous découvrons cette minuscule gare au milieu de nulle part. On se croirait revenu 50 ans en arrière, le contraste est total (mention particulière au chef de gare derière son bureau et sa liasse de papier, parlant un anglais impeccable)! ... a castle on the top of a hill. There are 560 stairs to get up to it. Needless to say, I stopped and rested several times on that trip. But...not much else to do, except the hostel has TV!!!!! In English! Alot of channels. And CNN! My first in months and months. And wifi is good too. So I am studying up on the Slov history. Is very interesting.

Great little place to relax, with plenty of beaches (topless, nude or otherwise), hiking, boating and more. Heavily touristed by northern Europeans, with lots and lots of skin on the beaches and boats, and a very interesting medieval town made for wandering tourists.

... next to me who talked incessantly in his sleep & refused to move to one of the many empty double seats? Not my idea of 1am fun. So I decided to put my ***** hat on & at the next lengthy stop (which occurred far too frequently!!) he got off for a while, I laid on the 2 seats, jammed my headphones in & faked some sleep. Once the bus started moving again & he’d sat elsewhere I managed to get some real sleep before we got to Split :)

so today after a nice sleep in opatija Croatia...we stayed in the home of some random family...the tourists agencies here work with local people who have extra rooms and rent them to tourists for them. anyways, our accommodation was very nice and we slept quite well. so this morning we left opatija and drove south along the coast line of the Adriatic sea.
