... swimming and chilling the next day on the beach we were taken out for a wonderful meal by Daniel and Gill to celebrate my retirement and David's 60th later this month. The food and wine was really good and we had entertainment, Latin American music provided by an acoustic guitarist and vocalist along with drums, bongos and keyboard, which again was brilliant and Daniel and I even got up to dance ......that was a sight to see. On Monday after our morning swim we decided to do the coastal walk from the town centre around as far as we could go past the beaches and hotels. Being very hot this was quite a challenge so we had our first ice creams of the holiday to cool us down on our walk.....well at least that's our excuse, but they were very ...

... bay turned olive and then khaki under the heat haze that formed over the land. The water rippled or churned only after the passing of a trawler or private cruiser - all was so still. The Mediterranean sparkled. A perfect summer's day! As dinner cooks in the oven there is still no breeze. We hear the cry of the Imam calling the faithful to prayer. the first lights are reflecting on the greyish water and the ...
