An easy morning start to the day. Up for breakfast at 8 to leave by 9. Was nice to have bread, fruit and fried egg. A bit more western like. We were on the road by 9 and travelled through rice fields and mountains. Our first stop was Tu Le. The place was jam packed of all the local tribes people. We headed out straight away to walk around some of the local villages just a bit out beyond the rice fields. This involved firstly making our way though a small flower plantation and then moving along the rice fields. Which required a bit of balance, especially from Helen. We woke up in a cold room but having had a good night's sleep in a soft cosy bed.

We enjoyed a typical breakfast, uploaded some blog photos and then checked out at 1100. It was very cold and foggy today. No sun whatsoever, a trek today would have been so disappointing with limited views.

James and Laura joined us for breakfast again. Jane and I then stayed to pack our bags etc while they ran some errands.

We headed out together about midday to go shopping for some thick socks, gloves and leggings/long johns. We had heard that they have just had snow in Sapa, eeeek.
