... dairy on the way, when I saw a snickers ice cream sign - I just had to try that. Delish. The rest of the day was very lazy, another cocktail at happy hour, laying in the sun, reading a book and then we got takeaways for dinner. I got a Greek salad and slice of pizza and Ali got a gyros ( beef style kebab in pita bread with chips). We went to bed early as we had an early ...

Corfu Five hours in Corfu is enough to see it is a place that deserves much more time. We opted not to take an organised tour but to try and find a white sandy beach with a taverna on shore selling fine Greek fare. The minute you get off the boat and begin to walk down the touristy streets you realise that these people are comfortable or happy with their existence. We shared calamari and a Greek salad & believe it or not but Jus ate feta and liked it! Cathy and Mark at the table next to us are from Caringbah and staying at the hotel just next door to ours. They're both teachers, Mark is a scientist at Trinity Grammar, Summer Hill and Cathy teaches pre-schoolers 3-5 years. Nice couple, only a few years older than us, ...

We arrived Santorini at 9am this morning. All our luggages were intact. We got a hotel transfer from the airport for 15 euros. Our hotel is called Arc Houses. It's a hotel overlooking the caldera. It's the cheapest hotel that I can find with a view, but at 147 euro per night, it's not cheap. It won the best ratings for satisfaction for the price paid in 2012 on Trip Advisor. The room has a small 2m x 2m terrace with 2 reclining chairs. The room itself is built into ...

... Of course, they speak limited English and said they hadn’t seen it. I could have left it in the cab, or at the souvenir shop visited while waiting for the bus. I tried not to let it ruin a perfect day. It was ironic though – that very morning, I’d told Michelle that I wanted to upload my photos, as I hadn’t since Venice. I thought about doing it that morning, but didn’t have time. I was going to do it that night. So all of my ...
