It was a little choppy so took a little longer than thought, after 20minutes we had arrived at the hot springs, the boat anchored and we got told that we were allowed to jump off so sure enough Pete dived in of the side followed by me we then swam roughly 50metres to get to the springs ...

Our bus drove through Thera and allowed anyone interested in touring Thera a chance to get off the bus there, but getting back to the port was on our own. Because it was getting late, I did not want to fight crowds and time to get from Thera down to the port via cable car. More than once on the trip, we were discouraged from riding ...

... the caldera, this meant almost sitting on Kathy's lap, which she did not enjoy in the slightest. Hah!

Perched at the top of the 300 foot cliffs is the town of Thera. All very Mediterranean, white walls, arches and straight lines against that special Mediterranean blue sky.

The donkeys are still used to walk people up from the boats that dock in the old port- 560 steps I believe, and we witnessed them at the finish of their transporting the passengers from a cruise ship and they still looked very spritely.

... more greek salad and gyros for lunch and stayed at the beach until about 530. Came back to rest at the hotel and hung out by the pool. Went and grabbed dinner in Akrotiri. We are watching the sunset now from our balcony. This place is so beautiful I can't wait for another day here tomorrow. Contemplating parasailing if we can get a good deal :).
