    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    A relaxing coffee we then had on the waterfront at this popular beach.
    The island of Corfu is covered in olive trees some as old as 300 years, they are huge with a large diameter and height, they place nets under the tree to catch the olives as they drop during the wet season. Most families in the Greek Islands have olive trees and make their own olive oil.
