... abundance. If you want a tattoo, there's about 50 places to go (seriously)! I walked from 1 end to the other and back again, there was lots on show to see and do but it wasn't quite a roxor n ur boxor (apart from the camel toe)! Santa Monica pier was pants, Beverly Hills was nice but it feels like your not suppose to be there unless you're a resident. You can't even go in some shops without an appointment! Overall, L.A. seemed like a dirty shitehole. The tourist traps are not ...
Los Angeles, California, United States teasertoolOn my walk this morning, I saw a coin shop selling ... cereal boxes with athlete pictures on the cover ... the boxes were covered in plastic wrapping and were clearly for sale as collector's items. A full day of site visits, then got on the 5pm flight home instead of the 7pm. Paul and I went out to dinner at Il Fornaio.
Pico Rivera, California, United States ahartry... was parallel to the runway and I could see jets taxi, take off and land.
Top floor executive lounge, empty as it’s not yet ‘happy hour’:-

Los Angeles, California, United States hawgbound... excessive??! (our photos don't show the full extent of how the other half live here). Our cousin David picked us up from the car hire place and took us back to their beautiful home ... it was great to see him and his wife Meghan. Dave had a business lunch to attend, but had arranged for us to go on a VIP tour of Sony Studios. The tour was really interesting ... we went on the sets of Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune; saw the Oscars that they have won ...
Los Angeles, California, United States sistersontour... I NOT go, right? So, I said to myself, I said "Self, why don't you just go talk to Laura, your travel agent, and set this thing up?" And self replied, "**** it, why not?" Now I find myself with a little over a month left to prep for this big trip and I have yet to get started. Urgh! The pressure!!! I'll check back with you guys in another week or two. Perhaps I'll have more info then... Ciao
Los Angeles, California, United States ahlaynu... pictures to this entry but I find that this computer doesn't have the SD slot (oops, I think I should have brought the usb cable with me--bummer) Oh well, live and learn. On the flight down, I started reading a book on etiquette of the Japanese culture. I thought I might prevent from making too many faux pas :) Hope your day is going well--Next entry will be from Japan
Los Angeles, California, United States amelia98275... about 2 hours because of the ridiculous traffic. From what I`ve read, Cancun doesn`t really have much to offer except to those platinum card users who want to relax in a 5 star hotel for a week and get a tan. The Mexicans appear to be very attractive people... I love the darker skin. The hotel I`m staying at, Kin Mayab is situated right in the middle of it. Very busy, lots of touts and less facilities to that of the western ...
Los Angeles, California, United States shanewilson... to study and read - it's always good to see what kind of information other groups are putting out. I bought some DVDs for Earthsave and one for Animal Voices. My bag was packed and heavy but then I saw the vegan cupcake table and had to buy one. I bought an Oreo-like chocolate cupcake from a vegan bakery table and promptly ate that for dessert (before my dinner). It was delicious! I bought another one to go, as well as a ...
Los Angeles, California, United States alisoncoleReflections on Disneyland, jetlagged in London. How time does fly. Forgive me if i lapse into theorising. Visiting Disneyland was destiny, it was the Circle of Life returning to itself and beginning again. I was returning from the other side: last time a child, this time a cynical 'grown-up' (though as Walt would say it is the 'child within' that is returning). The magic, however, was just as strong as ever. From ...
