Resort was clean and updated. We had a quick check in and overrall good experience. I am just tired of being lured to a presentation. I won't do another here, it was definitely more pressure.

          Quick snowboarding getaway

A travel blog entry by jalen on Jan 12, 2017

The snow has been amazing! We got the most snow in California in years and years. We went to Angels camp for a couple of nights so we can go snowboarding at Bear Valley. I did my first full day snowboard lesson. It was fun, but I was super tired because the power went out at the resort so no magic carpet and I had to walk up the hill each time. I …

We treated the Lopez family to a 3 night getaway to Angels Camp. It was fun hanging out with them. We swam a lot and went to historic Angels camp and walked around. Jalen slept in our closet upstairs and did well!

... it? Needless to say, it was full of Americans doing just that! Found a monster fir cone ( a foot long by 4/5 inches in diameter ) from a giant Redwood. Will try to get it home in one piece. No wildlife to be seen apart from a stag ( about to cross the road) on the way out. Liked the signs by the road " speeding kills bears". If you ...

Day two of the road trip. We dine on our host's fresh eggs before setting off the the cavern. There is something wonderful about fresh eggs. The yolks stand up tall and are such a bright dense yellow not to mention rich and creamy.

Stoked up up we hit the road. Black Chasm Caverns are a 40 minute trip from Fiddletown. We climb into the foothills of the Sierras and enjoy the changing environment from the rolling golden hills to ...
