Although we hadn't expected our couple of extra nights on Mainland Scotland, we decided to make the most of it.
When we got to the accommodation we'd chosen in Kilmarnock, I went into reception and picked up some leaflets for things to do around the area.

Pat and I flew overnight from Philadelphia into Glasgow.

The descent in over the Outer Hebrides, was beautiful, as was watching the sunrise from up in the air. On arriving in Glasgow, we walked to the train station, about a 30 minute walk, planning on heading to Ardrossan Harbor and from there to the Isle of Arran.
