Today has been amazing. The best day of the trip so far. Today we visited some amazing and perspective changing places. As an American I have not appreciated ancient history. For me I am in awe when I visit Mt. Vernon. I think its old, but that all changed today when I visited the ancient city of Ephesus. It was absolutely breathtaking. We first …

... night card playing this time. Aust swept the series of "********" against NZ. Woke up in Turkey! Marmaris is in a spectacular location. Hills everywhere. We met our driver who appeared to be fairly new to the task of driving. Staying on the right side of the road was a challenge. But a great guy with perfect English. We were on our way by 0830 and into the old town to see a bit of it before it was closed down to traffic. name the sites stopped pottery - name of vessel lindros lunch walk about white ...

... curve in the road there were a set of stairs ( maybe 25 stairs - just a guess) to the left. Up these stairs to the main road and across the road and very slightly to our left we found the path. It is a wide rock path but the rocks are very stable. After about .8 km we came to a sign directing us to the cave. This was a smaller but adequate path. Along this path we could here someone sawing down trees and before arriving at the cave we were met on the path by a ...

... had been waiting 25 minutes for the baggage man. If his bags were to be overweight at the air port he would charge it to the hotel. He was still shouting while the porter came and I left with him to retrieve our bags. After this fuss his blood pressure boiled over when he couldn't find his passport. Such entertainment - his wife soon found it for him - his behaviour really was disgraceful.
It was a long hot transfer to the airport - around ...
