Why the title? This was a gorgeous short stop at this mountainous Island, 41 km N.W of Rhodes of 65.5 sq.km. The population of 2,580, which increases to 6,000 during the tourist season, is mostly engaged in tourism, fishing and trade. (In the 19th century ship building and sponge were main industries.)
