... spot with a viewpoint, while not quite the highest in town, that was simply incredible. We were taken up three levels by our amiable young host who provided us with a number of suggestions. Looking out over the water below us we could see the three islands in the centre of the caldera as well as Thiriassa on the other side of the Santorini caldera. What a an incredible view! Or a donkey ride for 5EUR. we took the cable car, we were lucky as the line was not very long. There are only 12 cable cars ( 6 and 6 ) and when the cruise ships disembark or embark the queue is crazy long!!!!!!!! We had a good look around he old port and I found an awesome jewellery souvinears shop. Got 4 beautiful rings for EUR15 and a beautiful ...

Day 1 in Santorini

Woke at about 9am. Shower nose had nowhere to hang so I tied it to the wall. Skyped Ads. Went out for breakfast and had fruit salad and a latte. Coffees still very weak here. Then went on a hunt for some cheap sunnies -found some € 7 'Ray Bans.' then strolled the shops and admired the views. Very warm, was worried about sunburn. Bought a huge bottle of water and some postcards. Had lunch ...
