Another day on the sea and all is well, the day started with the sun is not quite shining but the sea was calm. We had an early start as the ship docked in the beautiful bag of Santorini at 7.30 am and Marty and I headed off an excursion at 8.15. Santorini is approximately 120 miles from the Greek mainland. Human presence on the island is believed to date back to the Neolithic period around 3200 BC. Santorini has had more than its share of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes with the most recent being in 1967 approximately.
