      ... to come we had imagined that it would be very quiet with the beach bars & restaurants closed but were very surprised to find that most places were still open and we made a mental checklist of where we wanted to come back to.We also took our first test of the water and were shocked at how cold it seemed to be, though the bright day out of the water quickly chased off any chill.

      ... last of the sun's rays and a cocktail is special in its own right no matter which island you are on. So well we decided since Oia we would do as the greeks do and everyday slow down to soak in the views. Hard choices had to be made, lol.       ... Thankfully it was as safe as houses; not a sign of aggression or dodgy behaviour in any of the youngsters. At about 0630 when the flies got too much, we picked up a toasted ham and cheese for breakfast and then wandered back to the port to wait for another 2 hours on a marble bench. Finally, the doors to the ferry port station opened and were able to get into the cool away from the sun.
