KARYSTOS for our Afternoon Walk!

We came to Karystos for our afternoon stroll since it is only a 15 minute drive from Marmari. The new road is much shorter and wider. I remember years back the road was narrow with many blind corners.

All over Marmari we had seen signs promoting a specific restaurant, " Mouries" was the name and we though to have our lunch there. Upon reaching the village however, we noticed that there was a coach from Athens taking all people to the nearby restaurant and there was nobody at the one we originally planned to go.

Tinos in the spring
Once again made a short trip to Tinos related to some project on my house.
The weather was terrible, resembling what we usually have for Easter in the NOrth of Europe but as you may have experienced the north of Europe had almost 2 weeks of summer weather and the Greek Easter was cold with lots of rain.

I'm actually skipping over our night sleeping in the Athens International Airport and day in Rafina, the port town on the other side of Athens (where they were NOT striking), since it wasn't too pretty. But at least here's a pic of Rach and I on our last night together at a cool cafe near Rafina:)

Our very first cruise
Taxi to Piraeus quay where we were greeted by the Holland America staff and after waiting a short time in a huge marquee we were very efficiently processed by their affable team and soon boarded the MS Rotterdam. How exciting!
