Our guide today was Inan and our destination was the ancient Roman city of Ephesus. There were only the six of us today which was great. He told us so much about the area and Turkish life......information overload. Before we went to Ephesus we visited Our Lady's home. We had a bit of a giggle about this but Inan told us there was evidence that St John, her son had lived in the area and so it is quite feasible that his mother had also (I didn't even know Jesus had ...

Our new friends decided to join us on our early morning visit to Ephesus. By 8 we piled into our Ford rental car for the quick 10 minute drive. Back again!

From Cappadocia we had to fly back to Istanbul, wait 2 ½ hours, then fly to Izmir and then drive to Kusadasi where we spent two nights. All of this was to go to Ephesus.

We were tired of traveling when we arrived at our seven month old hotel, a Hilton Doubletree. We unpacked and went to the pool…..but it was ...
