We saw well tended vineyards, narrow rows of pruned apple trees, corn fields and as Jan called them, Swiss cows. The automobile highway's were built on pylons next to the canyon sides instead of being cut into the walls. I guessed it was better for avalanche protection. ... Croatia, King Tomislav, we take off to the little town of Vodice, where we are staying. The town is picturesque- olive and fruit trees everywhere, boats in crystal blue water and small islands in the distance. I love this place. ... down in some parts now. Walking out of the site and around 100metres right the town centre (village size really) has fresh bakery's, restaurants, small shops, supermarkets, cafes even a bank.
