... the crew and said our goodbyes, and then managed to round everyone up for a quick group photo before boarding the bus.

The bus took us out of the city and onto the new highway. Petra said that many locals still use the old highway even if it's less convenient because they have to pay 220 kunas (30 euros) each way on the new one, and with gas also being expensive this takes quite a toll on them. This place seems to be kind of crowded and have a good variety of bars and restaurants. My impression though, is that there are lots of families with kids (and crazy amounts of scandinavians). After dinner, I went home, watched some german lipsynched tv (COME ON, germans!) and then slept for another 10 hours. Distance traveled: 49 km Total distance so far: 4540 ...

... different class rider. In Australia they consider them sissy bikes.

The route lead me into territory I never knew even existed. For several hours the road was around two meters wide or less, just enough for a tractor. I was amazed that so high up in the mountains and on steep slopes I would encounter so many farms. At times my speed dropped to 30 km per hour due to the gravel and cow manure on the road. ...
