Who would have thought Tenerife would be the place to try on my 'travelling boots' once again; it is not a back packers place of discovery, adventure or contact with the indigenous population but it is away and somewhere I had not yet visited.

The four hour flight from Gatwick was wonderful, (mainly because I had spent too long grounded in the UK), regretfully the airport assistance was needed to transfer me from the check-in to the aircraft. ...

... The baby is fooling around in one of them-jumping and stuff . Really cute! Be prepared to need your Kleenexes LOL.

On this trip I also saw Los Giganticos, or the giant cliffs. They do sort of look like giants and thusly have each been named desperately. I cannot describe to you the beauty of that Island-but there are lots of videos of that too. So ... pop some popcorn and be prepared to watch.

Came with fries as well so went for a long walk afterwards to walk a little of it off but finished up with an ice cream - such a holiday thing to do!

Our coach transfer collected us from the same location it ...

... unable to work out what time it was. I tried to be optimistic that this wasn't a sign of San Fran's continual edging towards a chasm of uselessness but I had to admit he was getting less and less reliable. A saunter back to our apartment allowed us to take in the night life one last time as unfortunately we return home tomorrow.

... thing that is worth a mention is the Katandra Treetops. This is an aviary which you walk around on swinging bridges above the treetops. Around you fly dozens of species of birds including yet more parrots. Not usually a fan of being up close and personal with animals but this wasn't too intense as they didn't fly at you. A must for anyone visiting the park, unless you have a bird phobia, then stay well away!
