Another day of skiing!

A travel blog entry by matt-hryniewicz on Mar 01, 2015

Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. A couple of quads and a tram bought you to the top. Sitting on the Canadian border in northern Vermont, it's quite remote making for small lift lines. After waking up at 3:40, it felt nice to sleep on our first flight into New Jersey. The landing was incredible, because we flew right over New York City. Each of the tents have names and ours is called Hank, which is weird, but it's at least better than the one called Love Shack. My group cooked chicken fajitas by lamplight as by this time it was pitch black and still raining. The woman who ran the campsite also came running over in the rain with a huge ...

... green hills rather than soaring peaks with highest elevations in the Green Mountains considerably lower than those in New York’s Adirondacks or New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Montpelier is an attractive little town, but I didn’t spend enough time exploring it beyond the State House to do it justice. It was just too hot a day to spend much time outdoors walking ...
