    We love staying at this hotel in downtown Napa. You can walk to so many wonderful restaurants.

    Had lunch at Redd, just a few blocks away from French Laundry. Very modern setting. Sat indoor. Love the decor - clean and very modern look but stylish. Chose the tasting menu.     Today we went driving around Napa up to St Helena and Calistoga. Very beautiful scenic drive with mountains as a backdrop, especially with grape vines and trees changing colour.     Drove along Silverado Trail to Auberge du Soleil at Rutherford for lunch. Beautiful scenes along the way. Managed to get a table at the patio of the dining room.     Before picking up the car and driving to Napa, we walked to Chinatown and ate at a Vietnamese restaurant called Golden Flower. Excellent beef pho and spring rolls. By the time we left at 12.45pm, the restaurant was full, with local regulars and tourists.
