... a large part of limestone formation that had eroded over time and had been separated from the island. The landscape throughout the trip was beautiful, almost too good to be true! One of the guys canoeing us found a little crab and I held it. Im getting braver with sea creatures everyday, until they run up my arm and scare me so I shook it off! Once we were back on the boat we had a buffet lunch which was really nice. Deep fried vegetables, fresh fish, lots of rice ...

For lunch we headed down back to the beach and found ...

Julie and I have had a number of days lazing by the pool, in bars watching the cricket and soccer, long buffet breakfasts and a long walk pretty much everyday. So Thailand is different. Everyone here has to make a crust somehow, which we discovered on the taxi ride from the airport to our hotel. We made an un scheduled stop at a travel agent with all of the others on ...

... bends! Eventually got to patong, checked into the hotel and headed for a walk on the beach. Beach was jammed but we didn't do any swimming as it was a bit late. Had some dinner just off Bangla rd. Bangla rd is known as party central and there's no doubt it is. It's jammed with everything from pubs, clubs, strip bars, lady boys. We gave the strip clubs a miss! Just headed for a drink ...
