... Even riding the bike was tough in the heat so my adventures of exploring over the next couple of weeks will be during the mornings and evenings!

After the first week of training was over I went with the crew from the gym to a real Muay Thai fight. What an experience that was. I have watched amateur fights before but they are nothing like this, especially the age groups. Most of the fights were kids, the first fight these boys were no more than 7 ...

... Hills between Chalong and Kata and at 45 metres high it is easily seen from far away. According to Trip Advisor, it is one of the things to do in Thailand.

... As we loaded the tuk-tuk, which is open back truck with seats and covered with a sort of tarp with neon lights and music, we were ready experience Patong. I'm not great with twisty roads and long car rides on a good day and especially not with several Tiger punches in me. We arrived with no incident, thank goodness. We arrived to what I can only describe as pure madness. If I described the markets as being overwhelming to ...

On the Tiger Ferry line, we finally arrived on Phuket Island at 6 pm Sunday night.

We thought the trip would never end and after the experience I had the previous day on the Long Boat, two days on the water was not terribly appealing. Overall, the trip lasted eight trying hours.

    Embarking was a treat

With all of the baggage, three large suitcases, a back-pack each and other trinkets, we had to climb over three boats and up nearly a ...
