After wait seemed like an eternity we arrived in Phuket around 10:30am. Feeling wide awake we decided to head straight for a bar. After a bit of exploring we found the busy Bang-la Rd where all the fun happens along the Phuket Beach.
Many large nights including arm wrestling competitions, too many tequila shots, fireworks and general mayhem made for long days chilling on the beach.
... hoping to get picked up to make their money for the night, women hung out of the bar fronts off poles inviting you in and every second we had someone trying to pull us into a 'Ping Pong show' which we resisted. After a stroll up and down taking it all and and one drink in a busy bar things started to shut down for the night so we headed back to the hotel reading to be up early for our return to Phi Phi.
... ships, crab pots, squid traps and listen for small boats. It was an experience, we ended up in our anchorage at Koh Yao Yai about 2am, all of us absolutely shattered after a long long day.

Nice hotel with big rooms, great pool. Only complaint meals and drinks took forever to come.
