... look very nice for the few minutes that was clear.
We checked in at the hotel which is a traditional Japanese hotel with mats and no shoes in the room. It has it's own hot spring in the basement. We went for a nice soak. The hot spring pools are segregated and no clothes are allowed.
Dinner was traditional Japanese banquet called Kaiseki. It was more of an art display than a meal. Six courses later, we were full. Sake was great. ...

... local onsen with a large outside pool. Apparently the waterspout is further down another road and we decide to go back and continue the road to Shimoda where we arrive shortly after. ... A nice walkway along the river, we found the perfect spot to get an awesome view of Fujisan! The weather is nice and by now it is also lunchtime.... we have a simple lunch on an outdoor patio, things are working out just fine! After a while we continue our trip to the pink moss fields. When the GPS says we have reached our destination there are no fields to be found in the immediate area. We drive around a couple of times, nothing there ...

We have done another bullet train today and travelled nearer to Tokyo. This afternoon we had some scrummy tempura for lunch and then went on the cruise ship around the lake. We did see Mount Fuji briefly from the train this morning but unfortunately it was too cloudy this afternoon to see it. We were going up on the cable car today but they are not running at the moment so this is why we did the boat. This afternoon we arrived at our ...
