All that food helped sustain us for a long day of sightseeing. We took a cablecar (train pulled up/downhill by cable) to a ropeway (cablecar suspended over the mountains) to a boat cruise and back. ... 100 years may not be old in the history of humanity but for a wooden structure of 3 floors with extensive woodwork it was pretty darn impressive. The pictures hopefully do it some justice. Since i had absolutely no plans today to do anything but maybe stroll around town a bit, i got out of bed at half past ten in the morning and just soaked a bit in the private onsen in the hostel. Evelyn gave me a good tip on a nice supermarket just a short walk and along the waterfront. It took me less than 10 minutes to get to the shop and it was a very luxurious one.
