We took breakfast in the throne room - as you do. We are getting a bit sick of cheese and ham but still eating it. We were sad to leave our royal palace. We enjoyed our garden and of course took more castle photos before getting into the taxi to travel to Trento to catch ...

Church was the first item of the day then the Taylor's kindly drove us to Brenner in the Brenner Pass where Hotler and Mussolini did thir deal for Tirol. We ...

After lunch we visited Runkelstein Castle, a medieval fortress built in the 1200's. It's main claimm to fame is the large number of period frescos painted about 100 years later. After various periods of disuse and damage, the castle and frescos were restored for public viewing in 2000.

What at made the biggest impression on me were the references to King Arthur and his knights of the round table. There ...

... a couple light pasta entrees and we did not disagree. Chris had a ricotta and spinach tortellati ragout and mine was tagliatelle fatte (kind of a wide, flat noodle) with radicchio and bresaola. They were quickly prepared by a jovial Italian cook, who, when he poked his head out, seemed relieved we ordered something requiring cooking. Such a lucky accident we wondered in there.
