We all slotted around. Outside the cloud is all around so it was grey and and then went for a walk at lunch time. Tony and Matt went round the bar area. Hamish and I walked out from Clausen and found a lovely track in the forrest that borders the road. Lots of very pretty autumn colors.

... were no other vans we were a bit concerned, but it seemed safe enough. We thought we would take a walk down into town before dinner and decided we just had to have a quick drink for sustenance to get back up the hill. So sat outside (as we had Tess) with a Beer & Martini, bowl of crisps nuts and olives, all for €6, why doesn't cost this in the UK? Made it back up the hill to find just a couple of cars still parked and Pierre! Hopefully Tess won't sleep too ...

Then it was north, running almost parallel to the German border, just a few kilometres to the east, around the edge of Strasbourg, Saarbrucken and Metz, before finally getting here late afternoon. A total of about 500km, and hardly any tolls on this route either which was even better. ... Europe, its McDonalds latest rival. They always seem to appear side by side for some reason. Similar price, meals and food but Quick offers the more inspired and tasty burgers in my opinion. We were back at Luxembourg station by 6, in time for our 6.20 ride back to Brussels. Our transfer to Aalst didn't take long, nor a bus from Aalst station back to out temporary Belgium home, getting in around 11. A big day, around 16 hours with 8 being on trains and buses, but a worthwhile ...
