It was a long day of driving. We left Regina in early morning and passed through more prairie land and wheat fields into Manitoba. We drove through fields of wheat, some harvested and some awaiting harvest. We saw a few fields of corn, sunflowers, potatoes and one large field of cabbages. We ...

Manitoba is very beautiful this time of year with the field full of bloom. We have never seen should color. The Flax, deep purple, canola is bright yellow.
The roads are good and the weather is cool.
We are making tracks today, right through into Ont.

We're staying at a homey B&B tonight in Kenora. It's the first major 'town' after leaving Manitoba. Looking at the map, there is still quite a bit to go to get to Ottawa... Never really realized how big the province is. We crossed another time zone too, but that just means going to bed one hour earlier which suits us just fine.
