... We were able to get really close to this bird, Charlie says about 6’. He had his talons secured into the bird and was first plucking out the chest feathers, that’s all the fluff lying around. ... a secluded spot in a field on the edge of some trees. Feeling relieved that we had a place to sleep, we headed back toward the Lincoln City area to check out the beach. Night 17: Whales Everywhere From Nehalem Bay to Beverly Beach Today we drove 120 miles all around the Central Oregon Coast, the mother of ocean vacationland.
