... lava flow. At its ends are large rock stacks, which house massive gull and mure colonies. The lower rocks are sunning spots for harbor seals. It's beach is made up of cobbles of various sizes, volcanic rocks rounded by centuries of wave action. When a big wave comes in you can hear the rocks shaking. It sounds like applause for every wave and that could be what its Creator intended. The beach is surrounded by 100 foot high rock walls. A large hill sits atop ...

Night 17: Whales Everywhere From Nehalem Bay to Beverly Beach Today we drove 120 miles all around the Central Oregon Coast, the mother of ocean vacationland. A travel blog entry by pykesonthego

... excited about seeing the whale and talked about it all day!

Clare and Aimee had fun just hanging out at the campground riding bikes, going for a walk, and playing at the playground. Everyone is really enjoying our time in Oregon! We're leaving the coast for a few days and visiting Portland next. We look forward to finding out how "the big city" compares to the smaller coastal towns we've visited!
