      ... mopeds than anywhere I have ever seen (and a bizzare number of Suzuki swifts). We had paused for a moment at the aiport arrival lounge and watched everyone else get sea planes and speed boats to their islands. I think that is the only was to really live the Maldives dream, fly to your 5 star resort and sit on the beach with a cocktail, blissfully ignorant of 'behind the scenes'.

      ... round) - their gueats do visit and take over for an hour or so but leave as quick as they arrive. the sister island is an optional trip from komandoo - worth a look at if u want to see where not to go! that said - they have a wonderfull reef and diving site called turtle airport where you can see so many giant mantas and turtles in one place it is mind blowing apparently it's quite famous ( it is a cleaning station for the large fish) ...
