... simplest dish like Nasi Campur, great care was taken to ensure each element is placed neatly. The food itself was not bad, though Sara was right in saying chicken is usually quite dry when grilled, but I didn't mind. There was probably better food to be had elsewhere, but I couldn't tell. We hadn't had many Indonesian meals in Bali and this was pretty good by my standards.

... into our room. I apparently opened the door, but don't remember that at all. He got into Michael's bed, but left about 5 minutes later saying he needed to go find his room. We got a call from his roommate asking if we saw him and we told them that he just left. We got another phone call, but I don't remember who it was from. Moral of the story: don't wake me up when I'm sleeping because these events will never exist in my mind.

... beach which was super surreal. I had a big "look how far I've come" moment! Little old me made it all the way to fricken Indonesia! All this took about 9 hours and then they drove us back to the hotel. I went down for a quick supper and then bought myself some ice cream and that was that. I learned a crazy amount today and got to see so many things I never could of imagined! I feel like it is impossible to not fall in love with this ...

A week in a Jeep

... hotel is closed: the owner is in hospital in Denpasar, and everything's been turned off!" Conned! We should have slept in the bloody Jeep! We packed up our things, and went to the Police Station to inform them of our lack of breakfast, but the sign which read "Here to help!" was slightly misleading: there was nobody there either. We quickly left, and enjoyed the views of the Lake and Mount Batur from a different town, glad to be away from the eerie Toya Bungkah!
