... tour company. The 40 or so minute drive to Nusa Dua showed us that this area of Bali is way less busy than the Seminyak region. If we were to come back this would be a much better destination as it seemed much more relaxed than the hectic hustle & bustle of Seminyak. Arriving at the beach it was bedlam! Bali down day

Fairly admin heavy day, full of flight bookings, hotel organising, printing off for our insurance claim (for the cancelled flight in Malaysia), laundry and other bits we just needed to get done.

We took a cab from our hotel to explore Kuta. We purposely stayed on the outskirts of ...

... apart from things like crisps and chocolate. We really don't appreciate those little things we have available to us everywhere at home. Our last stop was the floating palace, called Ujung, which is also a very large beautiful garden surrounded by grand buildings and flowers and lakes and ancient statues and the like. Just stunning because traditional Balinese arts and handicrafts really are so detailed and unique. Once we got back to Candi Dasa, we spent ...

... advice on this would be appreciated. Visits to the water palaces of Tirta Gangga and Ujung were on our activity list, as well as a stop at the local chocolate factories. The best insight to the religious culture of the hindu's of Bali was the visit to a big ceremony held once a year. Dressed in sarung and waist scarf, Claudia and I took off to the full moon ceremony and, as always, were welcomed gratefully. It was nice to see everyone being a ...
