I did organise this at LAX but the free wireless access was very limited and it was difficult to maintain a connection or open up web pages so have had to leave it until we got home to post.
Was a long trip home, 2 hours to get through customs at Sydney and then a long wait before our Adelaide flight. It was just as well our initial flight was cancelled as plane was late leaving LA and therefore late arriving in Sydney. By the time we cleared customs we would have missed our ...
... as we board the plane (just in case - the security guy, the checking room in front of the secure terminal room and the booking desk all got it wrong). We were flying American Airlines and the plane was old, 20 years ago. It croaked and groan it's entire way to the USA. All 12 hours of it - so much fun. The video devices provided, didn't really work - they would start then stop. Most of our entertainment came from a 18 ...
Los Angeles, California, United States katd... some music and sat and did some people watching by the pier. Eventually we started to make our way up Santa Monica Blvd. We found a Goodwill store right off the bat and while Brian sat with the bikes outside, I found us some "new" clothes. - which made my day by far. Soon we were passed most of the shopping and thrown into the craziness of the ...
Hollywood, California, United States hannahandbrian... mod Marina Del Rey.
Los angeles, California, United States sussiogthomas... group introductory meeting. Plus, there are always exceptions to the rule. However, it is not until you meet and talk to people that they begin to take on a unique dimension. Well most of them at least. (As I expressed earlier, some of them are simply your run of the mill British gap year pisshead or boring, chubby Irish girls, but most aren't.) I couldn't possibly summarize all the different people I talked with, but one ...
Los Angeles, California, United States andykrause... nothing they just honored this, which we could see was a genuine mistake, and sent us off in a really great vehicle, nearly brand new ford fusion. Ok it is all going so well what next- oh yes driving on the wrong side of the road, kind of easy when the traffic is heavy and everyone else is driving like that too. First stop was fuel and that took some sorting out - you must pay before you fill up which threw us. Anyhow off we headed ...
Los Angeles, California, United States brinvincible... out, so we ende dup pitching our tent and sleeping on the gravelly gorund at around 3 am. In the morning when we got up, looked around and started packing, filling out the paperowrk for the drop fee box, the host camper drove by. He aske dif we were camping there and we said, yes we were getting our stuff together and finishing filling out the form. he said ok and drove away. However, he quickly drove bakc and said "You need to set up camp farther up, at ...
Fullerton, California, United States ffetzer... it didn't even come close to our big shopping centre back home, Chadstone, and we were a little disappointed at first. That was until we found an Abercrombie and Fitch store, which was awesome and thankfully Rick managed to find some shoes that he liked in Nordstrom's. These got the thumbs up from both Megan and Carlie so we could all walk together again. After our shopping expedition we headed down the street and had yummy Thai food for dinner.
Los Angeles, United States eatdessertfirst... but it was all good cuddling with Vanessa waiting for the taxi. (= The coldness soon came to an end as we boarded a taxi and headed back towards our shelter, Marriott Hotel. I felt bad leaving Raymond but it's all good. I texted him and he said he caught a taxi after us and got back to the Hotel himself. Well i guess i'll talk to you guys later. I'm gonna make the night last with Vanessa before the trip to San Diego. (= -Wilson 8/14/05 ...
Los Angeles, California, United States kobe24... as well. By jumping around in the database, I myself, began to start seeing relationships and make connections. This is a very exciting way to learn because it is not some pre-programmed learning tool like a book, film, video or film strip which forces the "student" to "see" it from the point of view of the author or producer. Rather using the video database you just snoop around a smorgasbord of information and begin to piece it together yourself. It is more rewarding. The ...
