... anyway, we got ready and went out walking to the first place of the night. The walk there was great as we got to explore some more of the beautiful downtown. It was a complete contrast to Guanajuato: almost all the streets were laid out in a nice, flat grid and all the buildings were one of three colors: light tan, burnt orange, or burnt red. It seemed very tame in comparison to Guanajuato's windy, hilly alleyways and ...

Well, today's Sunday, my last day of freedom. Granted, I spent most of the day reading for class tomorrow, but whatever.

Sasha moved out of the house yesterday, and Monique, my new housemate moved in today. She seems nice and I think we'll get along. Oh, this is a different Monique from Monique O'Sullivan, by the way.

It really looks like someone just threw the buildings onto the side of the hill and was done with it. I don't know how better to explain it at the moment. I took a few pictures to give you a little bit of a visual. It just looks very hodgepodge.

... s no real deadline why I would have to come back home – except that I have a plane ticket and that I don’t have money. I know I can’t stay any longer than planned, but I would love to stay a couple or a few more weeks to just experience more of what Mexico has to offer. I would love to find a place in the city to volunteer and spend some time working with the people here. Anyway, who knows if that will ever happen, but I do absolutely love being here. If ...
