... of Holger. Holger greeted us warmly and gave us a very nice briefing about the history of Amsterdam. As it turns out, he teaches Architecture at a German University (Germany is less than an hour's drive away!)

Within a few minutes of arriving at the Vondelpark apartment, Erika was of course excited to go explore Amsterdam. I obliged her within an hour or so of our arrival and we took another tram to the city center (or "Centrum" in Dutch).

... cream. It was too much, but so good! Pancake buffet's are definitely the way to go.
After the pancake house, we had a little more free time in which we explored the Jordaan, the posh neighborhood the pancake house was in. There were lots of cute little shops and boutiques, and we just relaxed and sat on the canal.
We returned to the hotel, got our luggage out of storage, and took a bus to the airport.

Amsterdam was great, but I was glad to be back in Copenhagen!!!

... to include this in our itinerary. After a 4 hour train ride from Paris, we arrived at Annecy. It was nice clear day, the skies were blue and the lake had a sparkling torquoise color. The view was breathtaking. We rented bikes and biked around the lake although I did'n finish the loop, but my husband did.
