    ... French-Mediterranean meal in lovely surrounds with excellent service. I had Escabeche of hake with avocado and cockles followed by duck breast with red and yellow beetroot and a Madeira sauce. Faye had French lamb cutlets with beans and tomato.     ... than the museum entrance in Amsterdam. We carried our bags to the train station and took a train to the airport and were through customs effortlessly.

    Once in Madrid we took a taxi to the hostel, as it was 11pm already. When we arrived at the hostel it was full of life and so was the surrounding town.     ... The tours by companies would usually cover Volendam + Zaanse Schans but it's so much cheaper & flexible this way. Volendam is a pretty nice cute town!
