      Summary:

Been back in the Netherlands now for about 3 months, which is not that long really, but somehow time really flies when you have to work again. Still living in my home-on-wheels, on a campsite, soon to move into my own 'stacaravan' (semi-mobile house). Been working 4 days a week again, with little energy for anything else. Hence my social silence period. Had Xmas with family again, been seeing some people, but mostly just slowly adapting to Western Life again. ...

Ni hao! Almost on our way to Schiphol Airport - and our flight to the capital of Sichuan, famous for its spicy cuisine and home of the Giant Pandas! Stay tuned for our first glimpse of China On the flight: First encounter with our friends from the East; queueing does not seem to be highly rated, rushing to enter the plane! RA is going to have a field day when we arrive ...

Toward lunch time, we were about finshed there (remember we started the day here at 5 AM!) and ...

... me in the ass. I didn’t have the exact route to our bus station figured out to get to Berlin. We finally found cheap bus tickets at almost half the original cost. We woke up and with almost 35 mins after packing and showering we were left with plenty of time to take our free transit to our export point. Enough time was an exaggeration. We had no exact idea where our bus stop was minus a vague googlemaps screenshot. We took a wrong stop and ended up ...

The odyssey in Amsterdam continues, though I think maybe now I am past my bad rental car karma. I have rented cars 3 times through Avis in the UK. Every time I had issues with the billing and getting reimbursed. Plus, my on site team members and I would ask for the same class of car. They would end up with Audis and Mercedes and I would end up with a Golf. Now, there is nothing wrong with a VW, but wouldn't you rather have a Mercedes? This time I went through ...
