... dropped us off at our hotel, checked in and then had a nap.

We woke up at 19:00 and went out to an Indian restaurant for dinner. On our way there, we walked past several canals surrounded by bicycles. Amsterdam is known to be a very bike friendly city, there were cyclists pretty much everywhere! Every so often, you would get a whiff of weed as you passed a "coffee shop". I was amazed how many of these there were around.

... Pete to arrive early evening so we took the chance to go to the Maritime Museum. Lots of sea going stuff but the best bit was the submarine - neither of us had ever been in one and it was fascinating. How 67 crew managed in the space heaven knows. And the number of taps and levers and valves and switches was mind-boggling. We then stocked up for the trip.

And so, my Dear Friends, the journey is over. I suppose I’d get tired of travelling eventually, or my feet would wear out and fall off, but I’m not quite ready to go home yet. However, I’ll be on the
