        It's been 36 years since I was in Amsterdam on my first overseas trip. I have been waiting that long to get back to two of the galleries that made a significant impression on me at that time, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. That was the motivation for this quick trip to Amsterdam between visits to Morocco and Spain.         ... which we had been doing wrongly for over a day now. The flower market was awesome, all set on boats floating over the canal with colours of every shade as far as the eye could see. We even managed a wee bit of blue sky to celebrate the occasion.

        It was really pretty having the curved buildings rounding the flower market on the canals bend. After a while we headed towards a shopping street as Dina was looking for some shoes as we both had destroyed our shoes ...

        ... film museum across the river, which turned out to be so interesting! The building is built in the shape of an eye & it basically shows you how films are made. There was even a green screen for us to make our own movie lol. On the Sprinter train now back to Edinburgh first to do some last minute moving & rest before I head back to Malaysia next weds!         ... or more probably we are a hazard to them. We are so unused to the phenomenon, that if we are walking where there are no cars, our minds tell us it's safe, but there are designated cycle areas, and we think they take a few liberties too, so it's quite unnerving.
