Varna is a pretty nondescript town. Third largest in Bulgaria, with a large port and beaches. And a history of Mafia. We went to ANOTHER archeological museum. This one is known for having the oldest collection of worked gold in the world. Otherwise, a lot of Greek and Roman things. ... was discovered during WWII while they were digging for .....something!? Not too terrible exciting. We did have a chance to meet Stefan's mom at the museum- that was cute! Of course no English! Our last stop with our sack lunches was at a Russian Church - one of only two in Bulgaria. It was stunning! Then it was back on the bus for a four hour drive.
