... stop at Yalikavak. Which mum calls yack-in-a-kayak (personally, I don't see how it's similar) where we tried on and bought a snorkel set for Maddie and a snorkel mask for me. I don't need a snorkel because only the mask was leaking. We went home, had another swim to test out our snorkels (Which worked). While mum prepared dinner. Dinner was fan-taboulous! ... earthquake made the wells salty. It must have been very inaccessible, although has two natural harbours back to back so shelter would never have been a problem. We have useful fans on the boat. Claire decided to turn one off by sticking her finger into the fan. Result. Fan still turning. Blood gouting out of finger. We were delighted that she did not wake us!! ... 10 - 15 feet lower than the streets and showing great sophistification for the time - water pipes, floor mosaics, columns, etc. Kors is less than 10 miles from the Turkish coast and lots of water based activity. They sell t-shirts here just in case you forgot to bring one.
Weather has been perfect. We've worked through the jet lag. I had lamb chops for breakfast. We're looking forward to the next few days!

Only an hour and a half away from Akyaka, so perfect for a day trip. As Zeki couldn't start work yet because he will do the second half of his Anatolia trip, it was a perfect opportunity for some trips. On the way there, some soldiers stopped the bus to check everyone's ID. It was the first time that a Turkish soldier had checked my ID so I was terrified, but they let me pass!
