Almost Packed

... all the attendant cords, chargers and transformers as well as a US cell phone and a NZ cell phone. Our electronic paraphernalia takes up most of one carry on bag! I have a few more things to "pick up" before we leave. We are almost ready. Keep your eye on this blog for weekly updates on our travels.

Hi, I need some info for a tourism class!

Hello,

I have an assignment for a tourism class and I have been asked to survey people who live on the island of Aruba. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1) Number of years you’ve been on the island of Aruba
2) Are you working or retired?
3) Have you ever been involved in tourism related activities?(If so a brief explanation on your involvement).
4) What is your ...

THANKSGIVING!

... Great Grandpa and were fortunate to see Great Grammie in the lobby on our way out as she was coming in. Lunch was more turkey - I love leftovers. We relaxed, played some games, packed and sadly came time to leave.

We had a relaxing, refreshing, and jam-packed with fun weekend. We miss you all already. Thanks for the memorable holiday! This year we're thankful for family - X2.

... a nice little practice slope in the backyard. It was a lovely afternoon that went too quickly and we hope they will visit us in Redmond some day.

A very chilly night, 33 degrees brrrrr, we were not anxious to get out from under the warm covers but time to move farther south. Crossing into New Hampshire for a visit with George’s cousin Peggy and her husband ...

... time). On Saturdays, they show free classics, and on Sundays, they show free silent films with a live pianist. We saw the 1939 Classic Ninotchka, starring Greta Garbo and Melvin Douglas. It was outstanding. Paul won a free ticket to a contemporary film (they tend to show art-house-type movies) for knowing what Peter Seller's last movie was (The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu in 1980).

We then went across the street to the Melting Pot restaurant ...

A genealogy stop

... My mind has too much going on in it! It rained all night and is still raining. We did the breakfast things and then I got on computer- We did a bit on the genealogy stuff and then out in the rain for a few chores and to see the town. A neat old town with a lot of history (Amherst NH), back home in the rain, talked and did more genealogy, had a family dinner and just a comfortable family night. And it is still raining. I called Wayne and Ro and will see them when I leave here.

Home Sweet Home!

So we managed to find our way home after an incredible summer. In just over 5 weeks we were in 29 States, drove 12,700 miles, visited 5 World Heritage Sites, many wonderful state and national parks, saw great cities, awesome beaches and fantastic friends and family. This was a time I will cherish forever.

Thanks to all who have followed my blog and taken this journey with us.

Getting Started on this Blog

Well this is the first of many blog entries to come. This one is only a test, but if I must write something for the first test, I suppose I should be writing whats going on. We are watching Knocked Up for the upteenth time, ate Papa Ginos (yum), and I got some packing started and after I finish this I am going to do a little more packing with the boxes I took from Market Basket. I am starting to get excited since I only have 2 weeks left of work. I cant believe this is ...

First time in New Hampshire

First off, this is a good venue to come through. We went through Philly yesterday and everything was sub-par about the building. Makes for a long, though day. Today was bright and cheery - kind of place you'd like to work - and other than the BO Mgr being too shy to even make eye contact with me, it was all just right. I want to go back to my recent posting where I was down. First off, thank you for the warm ...

... close. It was raining most of the time though. I think a tornado even touched down. Lastly, we drove to the mountains to a town called Franconia Notch. We actually drove right by where the old man of the mountain used to be. It was so peaceful there and we even saw two bears!
