Finally I see a chap walking towards me and so i ask him to show me on the map exactly where I am. To my surprise i am way down the bottom of the city and somehow have managed to pass the square without even knowing it.
After a long struggle I finally find myself in a more busy street and know I must be getting closer to the tourist area once again and sure enough I was as there ahead of me was the square.
... considering most are at least 500+ years old, they get props (pun intended) for still resisting Mother Nature's relentless wear and tear. Neg: It appears the bulk of this city's economy is from marine maintenance and tourism. With tourists comes the usual cheap junk/souvenir vendors in every open space larger than a two-car garage. ... br> During Thursday, I worked out in the gym for an hour, then we attended a briefing for the next part of our cruise, attended a lunch by invitation of the captain of the ship. Claire attended another flower arranging seminar while I visited the computer room to download more of my photographs from my camera and write my blog. We were also invited to attend a Phillip Hoffman afternoon tea, as well as dinner in the evening. All in all a relatively relaxing day.
