    ... A couple of days ago we played golf on the nearby Porto Carras course (part of a horrible massive hotel resort) and in reality the reason for me choosing here as a stop over. The course was very interesting in design but in very poor condition. Very dry, and greens and fairways bare in patches.     ... not see one nice individually owned house in Bulgaria and in the country side all the gardens were intensive food growing allotments. There were very few plant nurseries in Bulgaria but in both Greece and Turkey there are lots, I think nurseries are a reflection of affluence they are nice but not necessary. On the other hand Bulgaria looks naturally richer, the soil looked fantastic and amount of beautiful woodland was a testament to the rainfall.
