... what he did specifically on his 20 mi walk are unknown. He probably spent the time in prayer and meditation conversing with the Lord and re-charging himself spiritually. Maybe he needed to think some things over about the next stage of his ministry and inquire of the Lord about what to do. Regardless, whatever it was it was likely self-directed at his own needs in order to prepare him to keep going with his preaching ministry and serving God's people.
When we left Athens and went to the island Poros, I was not prepared for what we were going to do. As soon as we got ashore, we met our Greek sails guide, Anton, and showed us a huge sailboat. We lived on that sailboat with Anton for five days so we could visit the smaller islands of ...
... so in the weekday it was empty and indeed we only saw a couple of players.
Apart from lazing on the beach, eating fish and visiting the local mountain villages I can't say we have done much. Amazingly we encountered our second folk dancing festival, this one for the Whit holidays. Of course being non-religious we didn't know it was Whit. Tomorrow we drive across Greece to catch the ferry to Italy and we are hoping for a quiet drive on Whit Monday.

Once into Greece the driving was much easier and you could set the cruise control without fear of pot holes. We arrived in Neos Marmaras in the early evening and settled into our self catering room with a large balcony over looking the sea.
Now sitting on the balcony, drinking Turkish Raki, over looking the sea, 25C.... cheers.
... amount of coast line with beautiful beaches, not your typical Euorpean rocky beaches and lastly I hear the islands are very different from one another and worth visiting....
One last thing...I forgot to mention the famous Greek drink of Ouzo...it's a killer when you drink too many...I'll say no more.
