... was room for another night. We had just parked the van when a band marched through the camp playing lively music. The ages went from young to old and it was like a welcoming committee. That night there was not one but two huge fireworks displays and we could only marvel at there brilliance over the water and wonder why they had them. Not a bad start to our time in Croatia. The water was lovely and there was no sand only paved stone so we invested in some mats to lie on. It was ...

She said that many of these abandoned houses and estates were bought up. The developers saved the shell of the houses and put in modern amenities & pools. They have become very popular getaways for those with 3,000€ and up per week. We traveled along the Mirna River to the hill top city of Motovun. The region has a lot of lush forests known ...

Did a little shopping and then home for cocktails and quality time! We are heading back a day early to Germany tomorrow because a couple people are missing their fur ...

... a decent German meal, and spend the night in a hotel before leaving in the morning for Krk, Croatia.

Now we've arrived in Krk, and have loved it so far. After this, we'll fly back through Köln and London to Moscow for an overnight, then on to New York.

With any luck, we'll have some long flights on which to prepare some posts. :)
