Very nice hotel; a bit different atmosphere from the more quaint, family-run places we've been staying. Breakfast had a great selection of items, except for variety of fruit. Great location a block from the river and only two blocks from the train station.

... until we were there. I slowly began to realize that the evening was going to be a very long one. I think its hard for someone, who hasn't been in a similar situation, to understand how weird it is to be in a room of people and to not be able to communicate with them. I can generally understand the topic of a conversation - i.e they are talking about cars but my deutch skills are just not good enough to be able to make any relevant input. Besides ...

... there was no call for emotional involvement, no story or mystery to comprehend and maybe my lack of understanding of Swiss-German left me with little to have an opinion about. For me it was purely just dada daa! My only reservations were for the wellbeing of the animals. I wonder if it is a happy enough life for them or if I am supporting a life of great unhappiness by visiting the circus.

Friday and Saturday we spent lazing around and enjoying the ...
