Why Harbor Beach you may ask? Good question. It certainly wasn’t our first choice of stopovers on the way to Georgian Bay. We had intended to cruise up the Canadian shore to perhaps Kinkardin or Port Elgin, two ports we stopped at on “Part 1”. After a very early start, we did, in fact, set our course for Kincardin ...

We headed North along the shores of Lake Huron with an unknown destination!! Great drive but chilly and windy. We drove for several hours then landed for the night. We ended up at a road site stop/park in Caseville Michigan. Great spot to sleep with the water lapping the shores and the wind blowing!!!!

Every road, every turn, every cornfield, every turbine looked identical. Bewildered, I stared at the bike map unable to decipher the crossword puzzle-like route. It ...

... the Cheeseburger Festival. We arrived and the entire downtown area was filled with people. We walked the entire length of town to find the perfect cheeseburger. We ate, bought Kaleb a cheeseburger hat and Kylee a crab hat to fit her attitude. Kaleb enjoyed playing on the bouncy house. We walked to the public beach and looked at the sand sculpture contest. We enjoyed the sunset or about an hour while feeding Kylee and letting Kaleb play on ...

Jodi's parents are up from Florida. They went up Monday to visit Grandma Marilyn and we came up Wednesday afternoon. Upon arriving, the weather was in the mid 80's. We said our hellos to Grandma and Kaleb quickly dashed for the lake . We spent a few hours on sandbars and rocks and the water was the warmest I had ever felt for a Great ...
