On our last full day in Boise, we visit another Triple-D venue - The Westside Drive-In. Most drive-ins serve burgers and fries, but here, we are told, there is a gourmet chef is dishing out delicious meals to the cars that roll through and to the diners at the few outside tables. Casey and I share their famous meatloaf sandwich, a Bacon Mac and Cheese Special, and ...
... and only Carl’s Junior hamburger joint where we stopped for a an obnoxious burger, dropped off the RV and was shuttled back to our hotel by Apollo.
Our friends from Auckland, Alf and Margaret joined us at our hotel. We decided the restaurant in the hotel didn’t look so hot so we walked to the four star hotel neighbors where we had a fine meal. At 10 PM we bid our friends goodbye, thanking them for their prior hospitality and called for a five AM ...
... for her birthday lunch. And of course we made her wear the sombrero. Can't believe she is 17 yrs old. My beautiful niece!
That night, Brett, Andrea, Scott and I went to Karen's Halloween party. It was an absolute blast! Can't believe how much work she put into it. Great food, drinks, games. Brett & Andrea went as Ms. Pacman and Ghost and Scott & I were pints of beer.
