          ... and other volcano’s sprouting up in the desert. Then for 50 kilometers we drove along Lake Taupo, stopping at the north end at the town of Taupo where we drove along the lakeshore admiring the volcanoes in the distance. Here we took a walk through a city park to a few geothermal springs flowing into the river. There were kids and adults enjoying the hot springs. It reminded us of camping by hot springs in Idaho.

GyPSy is set with the correct address, due to much road construction and my misinterpretations of her instructions, we sort of get lost, but in actuality we just got to the hotel in a roundabout way.
