Because of my extension in India beyond 2 years, I managed to get one more trip back to the US. For this trip, I ended up working a lot and networking even more to try and find a spot in the firm for me after I leave India. But I also managed some time to spend with the family...and also with some long lost friends in Tulsa and my good friends in Dallas. Landed into Dallas and checked into a great hotel (hotel Palomar) for my traditional "cleansing" after India and the 24 hour plane journey. ...

Our first night of camping. We visited Will Roger's birthplace that was only a couple miles away. We walked on the boat docks down in the marina. There were a couple hundred boats there, pontoon party boats and sail boats. We saw some really beautiful sailboats.
Claremore, Oklahoma, United States ironworker025We're already halfway with an ETA Casa Grande for Sunday. Gray day, fairly easy driving with no specific highlights. We're parked in a KOA attached to a Casino where we will have dinner and may spend a few nickels for fun. The trick is to never play the winnings, otherwise you loose everything. We're moving at a rate of about 300 miles/500 km per day, basically 6+ hours of driving. Thinking of you.

The area where the motel was I think may have been the seedy side of Tulsa. This morning as we were leaving I stopped in at the service station next door to the hotel to buy fags and I was sure the guy being served in front of me (who was on something) was about to whip out a gun and hold ...

Ok..we have 2 more days till we depart. Is everyone getting excited? I know I am. I just received confirmation from the Hotel in Alabama that we can make signs for the doors. So let's get those creative juices flowing and make some signs. Use your imagination and fake fur..maybe a splash of glitter.. Don't forget the coaches.. there is nothing more manly than a coaches name thats been bedazzled. Here are a few pictures from the car wash..

We gained an hour in Tulsa. Our accommodations at the LaQuinta Tulsa Central were perfect. It was new, clean and friendly. The boys went swimming. Alex learned how to do the doggie paddle. We ordered in from the local Italian eatery and watched Kathy Griffin's D-List. Alex engaged in his favorite bed jumping activity. The girls were very relaxed overall.
... that I felt like it was very watered down. Let me stress the taste, though. I am a dark roast drinker. Sumatra and Kona are my coffees of choice. I am sure that if I had tried something a little darker I would have been in heaven. We loved the place. I only wish I might have tried another blend of coffee - it would have made a great souvenir to take home! Next, we went back to the hotel to get the car for a drive through the famous districts I mentioned above. We took Denver Street ...
Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States 2olives... though. From the 10th, my old bandmates and I began the recording mess. When I referred to a marathon, it was largely because of this very event. The initial plan was to record twelve songs together for completion as an album. Hope was riding on us being able to do the lot of them at my bassist Kieth's house in Cushing, OK on his fledgling recording system. This meant, of course, that we had to do a crash course in learning the ins and outs of the ...
