      Onto the underground again and up to Central Park where we managed to walk into the middle this time. (Next time we'll start at the other end!) The park is an amazing asset to this city, is well used and loved.

      Later in the day we caught a bus to Newark and stayed in accommodation close to the airport ready for our flight to Seattle. We were told to purchase bus tickets for "seniors" which amused us greatly. ...

      ... touring....decided to take the night bus tour to see the big city lights! It was drizzling a bit before we got on, but luckily none of us were wearing white pants - whew! The tour started, and we wondered where the tour guide was. Evidently there is no tour guide on the night bus (another reason NOT to use this bus service). Went through downtown, China Town, Little Italy...then over the Manhattan bridge to Brooklyn. Amazing view of the city at night!

      ... The food was really good and I could find any type of food I wanted! My hostel was nice but the shower situation was just awkward. I loved my room and how quiet and dark it was but I think I will stay in another one next time because this hostel it was hard to meet a lot of people. One of the best memories on the trip will be watching the football match with 600,000 people and hearing them erupt for all 7 goals! I really can't wait to visit Berlin ...

      ... artsy with the old charm of a very old elevator. We were on the 15th floor in room 1511 which had a nice view of the street and the Chrysler Building in the distance. It was a small window to match the small room. I was prepared for the size though as I know the city is big on small spaces. The bathroom was actually bigger than I expected and very nice. The bed was comfy and there was a desk area built in. The only part of the hotel I was ...
